William T. (Bill) Potter
William Mr. Potter is the owner of Potter McKinney, Inc. His interest in property management as a career began in 1976, when he was an onsite Property Manager of a 474 unit luxury apartment complex in Woodland Hills, California. He was promoted to General Manager and remained until 1983. From 1983 to 1990, he was recruited by various property management firms in the Los Angeles area as Director of Property Management. In this role, he oversaw office and retail properties in addition to 2000+ residential units. In 1990, Mr. Potter accepted a position in Bakersfield, California as a Manager of Southern California Region for a state-wide property management firm where he managed 1000+ residential units, and over half a million square feet of commercial space. In 1996, he formed Potter McKinney, Inc., a real estate property management company, where he has earned the confidence of both institutional and private real estate investors. Mr. Potter and Potter McKinney Inc., are committed to enhancing the value of the properties entrusted to them by fostering positive business relationships with clients, tenants, vendors, and contractors who service the properties.
Mr. Potter is a licensed Broker with the California Bureau of Real Estate. He is a Vietnam Veteran, Us Navy, where he held a Top Security Clearance as a Communications Technician, 2nd Class Petty Officer. His community service includes, holding the position of President for the West Valley Los Angeles Police Department (PALS) in 1986, and several top positions, including Commander for the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He has participated and volunteered with other non-profit Veterans organizations, is a member of the Bakersfield Downtown Business Association, and currently holds the position of Vice President of BNI-Kern Business Connectors.
Elba is the Office Administrator for Potter McKinney, Inc. She is a graduate of West High School. Ms. Amador has been a resident of California since 2002, and has worked for Potter McKinney since 2007. She is proficient in Quickbooks and Appfolio Property Management Software, and is literate in computer systems and electronic communication. Her business skills, penchant for detail, and general aptitude have all served to make her an excellent asset to our company.
Ms. Amador is currently attending Bakersfield College, majoring in Business Administration. She is fluent in both written/spoken English & Spanish.
Frederick (Fred) J. Mohun
Fred is the CFO, Real Estate Broker and Board Member of Potter McKinney, Inc.. He is a graduate of Loyola University of Los Angeles where received a degree in Business Administration in 1971 and a Juris Doctorate from Loyola School of Law in 1974. Frederick has been an attorney for over 34 years in the state of California. He was a partner in the law firm of Vletas and Greer and later a supervising attorney at the law firm Early, Maslach &Van Dueck as staff counsel for Farmers Insurance Exchange. He has acted as mediator, arbitrator and Judge Pro Tem to the Superior Court of California. He has been a litigator in the business and insurance field for most of his legal career. Mr. Mohun has also actively engaged civil litigation and represented clients for over 30 years, he served his country as a military lawyer for over 20 years in the United States Air Force rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. When he retired in 1999. He received the Meritorious Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Defense of Korea Medal and National Defense Medal. Further he is a service officer at his local VFW Post assisting deserving veterans in obtaining their benefits. He also has been a volunteer for the USO. He has a strong believe in providing the best property management services to the clients of Potter McKinney, Inc. in the most economical, ethical and efficient manner He is committed to giving each client the best property management services possible with the best team possible, Potter McKinney, Inc.
